About Bearden Investigative Agency
| BUSINESS SCOPE- Bearden Investigative Agency, Inc. is a full service Licensed private investigative agency managed by licensed attorneys serving the legal and corporate community by investigating sensitive and complex matters to provide a fact basis for litigation or to achieve desired results. |
| CORPORATE HISTORY - BIA is an investor owned, closely-held corporation, headquartered in Texas. It originated more than 30 years ago, when the corporate namesake left the public field and founded a private investigative firm. Thereafter, involvement in cases such as Watergate, the Sharpstown Scandal, Abscam, Brilab, the Cullen Davis criminal case, as well as numerous other high profile civil and criminal cases, resulted in an agency with experience dealing with some of the most sensitive, hard fought and complex matters for the last three decades. In 1981, a guard and security division was created, which was subsequently sold to a multinational corporation in 1991. The agency was then trimmed to provide quality investigations in complex and difficult situations for our clients. | Although one of the most high profile, but conservative, agencies in the Southwest, BIA has conducted investigations in all 50 states and approximately 42 foreign countries. With offices located in Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth, and through an alliance of former employees and associates called The Investigative Solutions Network, the agency provides quality investigative services at moderate costs throughout the Southwest and the nation. Beyond the Southwest, major areas of practice are maintained in California, New York (and New Jersey), Florida, Atlanta, Chicago and the Caribbean. |

| PERSONNEL - BIA employee personal information and photos are not routinely disclosed. As a rule, investigators are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, military training or a corresponding increase in experience. Each employee is required to have an area of specialty and to achieve minimums of continuing education far in excess of the State minimum requirements. Employees undergo routine testing and evaluations to assure quality performance. When a client hires BIA, they are hiring a team of experienced, intelligent, innovative and sophisticated investigators who will bring their resources together to get the job done. | OUR RESOURCES - Bearden Investigative Agency is a flagship agency of the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI), Texas’ largest Investigative association of over 650 agencies. Beyond its own personnel resources, BIA has access to a much larger pool of specialized talent which are pre qualified and jointly trained to increase reliability and consistency and expand resources. Our founder, Jim Bearden, is now the General Counsel of TALI and is constantly training our investigators along with other Texas investigative agencies. BIA has a sophisticated in-house computer and information network. BIA brings together the resources of more than 5,000 computerized private, government and Internet databases, which can be used to solve cases far more rapidly and economically than in the old “gumshoe” days. Technological innovations have made the private investigative field a complex cutting edge environment for the introduction of technology to better and more economically solve cases. No other private investigative agency in the country matches the in-house resources of Bearden Investigative Agency. |
| OUR EXPERIENCE - A few years ago, a national magazine referred to BIA as “the FBI of the private investigative industry. No other agency even comes close to the experience, resources, and client list of the Bearden Firm.” In fact, we have represented thousands of attorneys across the nation, hundreds of corporations, numerous federal, state, and local government entities, and thousands of individuals in solving each one’s unique problems. While we work with wonderful clients, we’ve had an opportunity to work on representative cases popularly known as: |

| At least 37 books and 21 movies or television specials have been written about cases on which we have worked. |
| OUR COST - Costs vary widely by the type of investigation conducted, the complexity of the investigation and the personnel assigned. Most work is done on a per hour basis, with rates only slightly higher than competitive agencies in other major cities. Retainers are typically required in the approximate amount of work to be done, but staging and evaluation of work at each stage is permissible and encouraged. For established law firms and corporate clients, some flat fee charges may apply for straight database inquiries without additional investigation. Special types of work, such as expert witness testimony, eavesdropping detection, and some background investigations can be bid on a flat fee basis. | TO RETAIN US - Simply contact one of our offices and ask to speak to a representative. We’ll discuss with you, in a general nature, your case and the options available to you from an investigative standpoint, and determine if investigation is an appropriate remedy. If, for some reason, we can’t assist you (due to a conflict, location, or scheduling), we will refer you to a professional who can help. | CONFIDENTIALITY - For more than three decades we have dealt discreetly with the most confidential of matters involving our clients. Our firm has set standards of confidentiality through the appellate courts that are the backbone of extended client-attorney and work product privileges that protect most law firms and clients today. This case law was a result of our absolute commitment to our clients and their legal rights. Additionally, BIA is properly licensed and regulated such that, except in specific cases, unauthorized disclosure of client information may constitute a crime. |
