What if I want to go to
work for BIA?
We encourage you to try! We ask that you forward a resume by email or fax to our
Dallas Personnel office. Once the fax is received it will be reviewed and if we
desire to set up an interview, we will contact you. We receive a substantial number
of resumes but we log each one and when openings do occur we review previous resumes
for a period of one year. If you don't get a call immediately asking for an interview,
don't be disheartened, you may receive a call months later as positions open up.
We have several different types of positions. Most of our investigators are full-time.
Most investigators with experience will be paid from approximately $35,000 to
$40,000 per year to start. Less experienced investigators will be paid less because
of the high training costs. Experienced investigators may move into an overt or
investigator position relatively quickly. People with little experience in the
investigative business may enter our program by being an investigative clerk,
undercover investigator, or working part-time as an investigator.
Investigative clerks are not truly clerks but people who assist with courthouse
checks, weekend surveillances, and other items that require less experience. Our
undercover operatives work in a client company as a normal employee there and
report back to us on things of interest such as drug dealing, theft, harassment,
and management issues. We use a large number of female undercover operatives to
work in food service establishments, entertainment clubs, accountants, office
personnel, and assembly line work. We use men in undercover jobs involving construction,
warehousing, electronic assembly, food and drink preparation, maintenance, and
in government jobs. Applicants who are bilingual have a high priority. We encourage
minority applicants and Hispanic and Asian ethnic applicants. The hardest positions
we have to fill are for exotic dancers, experienced mechanics, and engineers.
We do not normally hire anyone who has had a conviction for a theft, moral turpitude,
or a drug offense.
We do not normally accept calls from people wanting to know more detail. We apologize
but our time is needed for other things, so if you have an interest, please forward
your resume and we will start the process from there.
Good luck! It is definitely in our best interest to hire the best people available
and although we seek experienced investigators, we often find that the people
who work best in our disciplined work environment are people who have other qualities
that we look for besides experience. Send us your resume to picompany@aol.com
or fax to 214-855-1250. Thanks.
